This Medicare databases lists by state the number and percent of beneficiaries by age, gender, race, and federal poverty level. For additional information, see The Kaiser Family Foundation, stateheatlhfacts.org. The data source is the Urban Institute and Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured estimates based on the Census Bureau's March 2009 and 2010 Current Population Survey (CPS: Annual Social and Economic Supplements).
